“We’re all about creating a safe space where kids can thrive and grow, all while kicking it back in their comfiest PJ’s. Because let’s face it, who wants to deal with traffic jams and waiting rooms when you can have therapy in your own living room? We’re all about convenience without sacrificing quality!”

-Tori Lefevers, OTD, OTR/L, Founder of OT House Telehealth

Hi, I’m Tori!

I’m a pediatric occupational therapist who specializes in telehealth! I'm passionate about helping parents navigate the intricate world of sensory processing, behavior management, and neurodiversity. With a background in psychology from Taylor University and a doctorate in occupational therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University, I've spent years studying human behavior and the impact of sensory processing on everyday life. My doctoral residency focused on the impact of sensory processing experiences on activities of daily living, and I presented my research findings at the national American Occupational Therapy Association conference this past year. I’ve also had the privilege of being a part of numerous other research studies and article publications. Now, I work as an occupational therapist with neurodivergent children.

I know that what we are dealt in life can be overwhelming. From a young age, I’ve always wanted to be an OT because I saw the way this profession can drastically change the lives of those facing everyday challenges. I also appreciate home life. I’m what you consider a “homebody”. I love people, I’m passionate about my job and will work, focus, put tons of time into it, and care SO much about my clients, but leaving the home to work in a clinic or hospital was never for me. Also, growing up in a rural community I understand just how limited access to occupational therapy can be. Plus, for a child, nothing beats attending therapy in your comfiest PJ’s in your living room!

By embracing this convenient solution, families can enhance their child's development and well-being while minimizing disruptions to their daily activities. At OT House Telehealth, we’re dedicated to reimagining occupational therapy services that are effective and accessible for everyone!

“As an occupational therapist who identifies as neurodivergent, I've personally witnessed the profound impact that sensory processing can have on everyday life. Through my own journey, I've developed a deep passion for supporting neurodivergent individuals, especially autistic children. However, I want to emphasize that this ebook isn't just for parents of neurodivergent children. It's for any parent who may be questioning their child's neurodiversity or facing challenges with behavior, socialization, or academic skills. You likely have questions about why these challenges arise and how you can best support your child. It's important to remember that all human beings have sensory preferences and needs, and we're all born with primitive reflexes that need integration. Whether your child is neurodivergent or not, understanding sensory processing and primitive reflexes can provide valuable insights into their daily challenges. From my perspective as an occupational therapist, this eBook is designed to illuminate the root causes of these challenges, offering clarity and guidance to support you in understanding your child’s behavior. I hope you find it to be a valuable resource on your journey.”
